It's a stay-home weekend. Sunny but a little chilly outside, but it feels really great sitting indoor with honey lemon flower tea plus my favorite dessert macarons. The flowers blossom soaking in the tea, petals drifting slowly just like plants in the ocean. It is so pretty that I couldn't resist taking a few shots to freeze these lovely moments.
Photo taken with Canon 6D plus 100mm F2.8 macro lens.

Just want to share some photos of my two lazy fur babies. They are almost 8 years old, seems like mid-age crisis has not affected them yet. Lazy and sweet as always. :) Favorite thing to do: napping. Favorite place to be: anywhere soft, sunny, warm. Most photos are taken with 100mm F2.8 macro lens, this has been my favorite lens for still objects, close-up photos, even for portraits if I have room to take pictures from distance. Sharp at focal plane, have sort of creamy tone outside of focal plane, which makes pictures look very natural. Absolutely love it. When he asks for cans. lol. Lowman, Idaho. A little town in the middle of the boise national forest, with Payette river passing by, a few houses built next to the river. The view is breath-taking in winter time. Imaging drinking tea by the window, next to a fireplace, reading a book with cats napping on the side, watching the snow flakes drifting down slowly, river with floating ice running through, that would be my dream life. Happy New Year. Made this day trip at the first day of this year, feels like a good start of the year. :) Hope you enjoy the photos as much as I do. These are my favorite winter pictures so far, they take me to a peaceful place in my mind. All images on this site are the soleproriety of Yi Photography. For prints, contact [email protected] Merry Christmas! It is a white Christmas in Boise. Moved here for almost two years, this is the best snow so far. Loving it. The colors from trees, bushes looks vivid when everything else is covered in snow. Sharing some of my favorite photos. Frozen trees, roses, and me. :) Photo by Yi Photography.
For prints, please contact [email protected]. Annual event organized by BOSCO, when local artists opening their doors to public. I am really amazed and inspired by so many great work from the artists. They made the artistic side of Boise so lovely :) For event and artists' information, please visit http://www.boiseopenstudios.com/ Sharing some pictures of the studios I visited today. One of my favorite studios is Anne's studio featuring watercolor paintings. Absolutely love every single piece of her work. Pretty sure I will sign up for her next available watercolor classes. :) Definitely check out her work at: http://aesorensen.com/ Jany's Studio is located in this adorable colorful house. Make sure to visit her garden as well, very well decorated. Isn't this little monk just adorable? love it love it! And the bird that is probably same as my age... lol... http://www.janyrseda.com/ Impressed by Lisa's creative travel journals. http://lisacheneyjorgensen.blogspot.com/ Julie's oil stick paintings. Bright and vivid color with pigmented paint. Got an artistic picture of the close-up of her painting. :) http://www.julieclemons.com/ A lot more studios need to be discovered.
To be continued... :) Just to show you how much I love Autumn, decorated my "studio" with leaves I made with felt. It feels awesome working in this room. Hope people walking by would enjoy the decoration too. :)
Witnessed this AMAZING sunset after work. Took it on the phone. Probably should start carrying camera to work. :)
Came back from work and saw the warm late-afternoon light brushing through the willow tree and bushes in our garden.
