Lowman, Idaho. 

A little town in the middle of the boise national forest, with Payette river passing by, a few houses built next to the river. The view is breath-taking in winter time. Imaging drinking tea by the window, next to a fireplace,  reading a book with cats napping on the side, watching the snow flakes drifting down slowly, river with floating ice running through, that would be my dream life.

Made this day trip at the first day of this year, feels like a good start of the year. :)

Merry Christmas! It is a white Christmas in Boise. 

Moved here for almost two years, this is the best snow so far. Loving it. 
The colors from trees, bushes looks vivid when everything else is covered in snow.

First time making a photo calendar with my own pictures taken throughout the year. 

Feel very accomplished not only about the calendar, but also the number of places I visited this year. Time to draft travel plan for the next year. hehe.

One of my favorite studios is Anne's studio featuring watercolor paintings. Absolutely love every single piece of her work. Pretty sure I will sign up for her next available watercolor classes. :)

Jany's Studio is located in this adorable colorful house. Make sure to visit her garden as well, very well decorated. Isn't this little monk just adorable? love it love it!

Just to show you how much I love Autumn, decorated my "studio" with leaves I made with felt. It feels awesome working in this room. Hope people walking by would enjoy the decoration too. :)

Last time my husband and I visited colorado was back in spring 2012, when we were both graduate students. We were so impressed by Aspen, the peaceful and cozy little town, beautiful trees blooming with flowers, the amazing scenic independence pass, the frozen lake at over 10,000ft. We love everything about it so much and decided we need to go back again.

Now, over 4 years passed, our life has changed so much, graduated, found jobs, moved from east to west... but luckily our passion towards traveling and photography remains. I feel so blessed that this last-minute-decision trip happened to be at Aspen's prime time. Foliage is at it's peak, snowed the night before which painted the distances mountains with strokes of white color. Everything turned out to be perfect. I wouldn't have expected anything better.

Aspen and Colorado, never let us down, and we will be back.
